However, metal mouthpieces usually have higher baffles than non-metal mouthpieces. So it is common to think that metal is louder and squeaky. But this is not due to the material. Players who like to play on the very tip of a mouthpiece are more prone to chirps. You shouldn't have to pay full retail; got mine for $800 less than the 1st price quoted.I dislike the Alto, I have a SX90, and did not care at all for the Soprano's. The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. The Yani Metal 7 Soprano piece is a great piece, very well made and easy to control from bottom to High F# & G.
